DAILY ROUTINE
MORNING 8–9AM
Let her out to the garden to toilet (the poop bags are in the top drawer by the TV and the poop bin is under the trees outside by the patio door)
Turn off the white noise machine
Refill her bowl with fresh water
Fill her bowl with 1 cup of kibble (dog food) - it lives in the top drawer by the fridge
Move the gate between the kitchen and dining room and tuck it next to the glass drinks cabinet
DAYTIME
She is pretty chilled at home, she will be happy pottering around, sleeping and chewing her toys.
When she stands by the patio door, she needs the toilet (most of the time.. but sometimes she just wants to sunbathe)
Try not to leave her at home for more than 4-5 hours (make her go to the toilet before you go out but tossing a treat on the patio and saying ‘toilet’)
DINNER 6PM
Fill her bowl with 1 cup of kibble (dog food)
Refill her bowl with fresh water
BEDTIME
Before you go to bed, get her to go outside for 1 last toilet. If she doesn’t want to go outside when you open the door - throw a treat onto the patio.
Say the word ‘toilet’ and she should go … sometimes she does take her time
Close lock the patio doors and close the curtains
Get her to come into the kitchen (throw a treat and say find it)
Put the gate between the dining room and kitchen
Turn on the white noise machine up to where the arrow is on the dial. This will stop her waking and barking in the night at foxes
Turn off the lights and close the kitchen door
TIPS
Use the dog treats in the glass pots (by the kitchen door, and by the TV) to get her to come inside or go outside, or go back into the kitchen. Just toss them and say ‘find it’ and she should go for the treat. She can have around 10-15 per day.
Tell her to go on her bed if she tries to chew her toys on the sofa
If she barks at you turn your back or walk out of the room - if you tell her off she will probably keep barking.
You can try to tell her no by saying ‘no’ and walking away
Tell her to ‘sit’ or ‘find a toy’ if she is being to boisterous
We wouldn’t recommend playing with her as she can get quite boisterous and sometimes bity, if she tries to initiate play just walk away and say no, or get her a chew toy and give it to her (they are in the top drawer by the TV)
